DOWNSTAIRS

SITTING ROOM - There are two double doors at either end of the room which open directly onto the terrace. Three sofas and armchairs provide comfortable seating. The large fireplace and chimney piece create a cosy setting for log fires in colder weather (see below). A variety of games can be found in the wooden chest.

KITCHEN – The kitchen is well equipped and has a gas-fired hob and cooker and a large refrigerator. There is also a small wood-burning stove in the corner to keep the kitchen warm in winter. There is also a washing-up machine and double china sink and a round table for 8 people.

DINING ROOM – The long dining room refectory table can seat up to 14 people. The brick arch at one end of the room leads into the spacious kitchen (see below). Through an arch at the other end there is a downstairs washbasin and WC.

From the dining room a brick stairway leads its way up into an half landing off which there is a large store room with an additional fridge for drinks.
