TERRACE, SWIMMING POOL & GARDEN
TERRACE - The terrace spans the width
of the house over part of which is a pergola over a table for dining
outside. At the other end of the terrace is a fig tree which provides
delicious figs as well as good shade.

SWIMMING POOL - The swimming pool
is on the lower terrace below the house, and is south facing, catching
the sun all day long. The pool is ideal for children with a shallow
platform at one end which then slopes gently down to about six feet
in the deep end. A “salty chlorinator” system is used
which eliminates the “red eye” effect of chlorine.

THE GARDEN – There is a good
stretch of garden either side of the house. Steps take you down
to the lower terrace in both directions where the swimming pool
lies below the terrace up above. An imposing line of cypress trees
(see photo below) on the lower terrace lead up to the pool at the
end of which another pergola provides a perfect shady spot at the
end of the pool area. On the kitchen side of the house there is
a magnificent line of walnut trees. Other produce available in season
are cherries, plums, walnuts and hazelnuts.
